Back to Basics – Beginners Camera Training South Wales
Last Sunday I held another of my popular Love my Camera courses. These 4 hour workshops are aimed at people who have a DSLR camera gathering dust. People who don’t really understand the settings (let’s face it manuals aren’t exactly exciting reading matter!), pop it on auto and hope for the best. Sound familiar? Sometimes it’s just easier to whip out the phone to take a quick snap isn’t it? But that’s just a waste and such a shame.
Well, it is my mission to show you that it doesn’t have to be complicated. It doesn’t have to be techie and full of jargon. It’s all about going back to basics and explaining in real speak how the camera works; to make it fun and not intimidating.
I hold my classes every couple of months in the pretty rural village of Penllyn just outside of Cowbridge in South Wales. I like to keep it fun and relaxed; the perfect environment to ask lots of questions (without feeling stupid).
We look at lots of different topics from how to get sharp images, how light is recorded in the camera and how to use natural light to get the best images you can. We discover simple ways of freezing motion and also getting that lovely blurry background in your images and much more. See what I did there? Not an ounce of jargon to be found!
Here’s a bit of behind the scenes fun from Sunday. Such a great bunch of ladies – I spent most of my time laughing. Laughing and teaching.
If you would like to join me on my next workshop in July then just click here for more information and to book your space. Be great to see you.
Until next time,
