The Beach – Vale of Glamorgan Child Photography

Everyday I count my blessings to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I am lucky to be able to enjoy such a variety of landscapes. Beautiful parks, amazing urban settings, magical woodlands, magnificent castles and of course … the beach.

This setting is arguably one of my favourites and somewhere I frequent with my family (and dog) on a very regular basis – Dunraven Beach at Southerndown in the Vale of Glamorgan. It was early on a Sunday morning. Just us and a few eager (and brave) dog walkers. It was cold but my tiny model had fun as we ran, looked for shells and splashed in the puddles made by the sea.

The light was just perfect.

One of the things I love most about this location is the variety. When it gets a bit cold and blustery (it really did!) you can head up the hill, passing the grazing sheep and look for the secret door. The door which leads you into the walled garden. The secret garden …

I really can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning. That doesn’t involve a bacon sandwich of course!

Until next time,
