A Girl’s Best Friend – Horse Photography South Wales
Nestled in the valleys of South Wales lies this little oasis. You’d never know it was there, hidden behind a residential area just north of Pontypridd. In fact when I arrived I thought my sat nav was playing up – I just didn’t expect THIS! The small yard is set in the most beautiful countryside of rolling hills and forest, rustic stone walls and little pockets of beauty. It’s a space of calm and tranquility just moments from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was here that I met little Layla (with her mum) and their little Sheltand Pony Gryff. It was a hot summer evening and they took to explore their favourite places to play.
Thank you so much guys for letting me into your world and allowing me to capture this special friendship.
I am now taking bookings for Equine Portraits for the rest of the Summer and into Autumn. These sessions are not just aimed at children – I shoot big people too. 🙂 Just follow this link to find out how you can capture magical memories with your best four legged friend.
Until next time,
UPDATE: Since posting these images a couple of people have voiced their concerns about the safety of the little girl, especially when she is sitting on the pony. Please rest assured that the pony was held at all times by the little girl’s Mother (an experienced horse owner) and gave her full permission for each shot to be taken. Mum has been carefully photoshopped out of the final images. I would never ever put a child at risk simply in order to get a good picture. If you have any concerns then please get in touch and I will happily show you the original shots. Thanks. x
