The Secret Garden – Bridgend Child Photographer
I have a confession. I am a compulsive location scouter. Even my kids (bless them) will be in the car and shout, “That’d be good for photos Mummy!” or “Look at that light Mum, it’d be amazing for photos”. They spot colours and spaces but I suppose thy’ve grown up with my obsession and are more than likely sick of me going on about it (or they know what buttons to press to get on my good side!). Either way, it’s not a bad thing. It makes them look and observe and see things that many would miss.
The Vale of Glamorgan (where I live) is full to bursting with wonderful locations. Many you wouldn’t look at twice but after a while you get to understand how the camera will see it. Some locations just scream “SHOOT HERE NOW!”. This is one of them. Hidden away by the Heritage Coastline, a sweeping expanse of jurassic cliffs on the South Wales coast, is a little walled garden. It’s a shelter from the battering coastal winds and the walls create a lovely diffused light. I shoot here every once in a while, often combined with a session on the beach. When we have filled our wellies with sand and we can no longer feel our fingers we take shelter, play and chat.
I have had the pleasure of photographing this little one a couple of times now and am looking forward to seeing them again in March. She’s got such a beautiful little soul. You can see in in her eyes.
I’ve just opened up my diary for 2016 on location sessions. If you’d like to have a chat about a session for your family then just get in touch. You can book directly on line or just give me a call for a chat. I’d love to hear from you.
Until next time,
